level 3 state-sanctioned

diploma fully open to adults with no previous degree required. Three tracks:

  • Jewelry-making

    Fashioning jewelry in precious metal (gold or platinum), often adorned with stones.

  • Gem setting

    Adorning jewelry pieces with precious or ornamental stones.

  • Polishing

    Bringing out the full radiance of jewelry creations through various finishing procedures.

  • ADULTS IN A CAREER CHANGE

    General education requirements waived, reduced coursework focused on vocational training.

Training program

Hands-on instruction in workshops, technological subjects (materials, stones, metals), art and jewelry history, graphic display and introduction to 3D design.

Admission requirements

Interview, assessment of manual dexterity (generally organized as a hands-on test), application file. No previous degree required.

FUNDING

Tuition levels vary depending on the different training centers and applicant status, but several options are available to cover tuition costs in part or in full.

Certain associations and vocational training structures help employees finance their career transition.

The funding options are as follows:

  • French Personal Training Account (Mon Compte Formation)

    Select programs are eligible for funding under this mechanism, both for current employees and jobseekers.

  • France Travail

    In some cases, jobseekers may receive AIF (Individual Training Assistance) grants.

  • Professional training contract or apprenticeship

    Adults studying under these arrangements pay no tuition and even receive a salary as employees-in-training.
